I find it a privilege to assist clients in their journey through life’s challenges and guiding them towards self awareness and personal growth. Since I understand that therapy can be a vulnerable place, I take pride in helping clients find joy and healing in the therapy process. I view the counseling relationship as a partnership where my skills complement the strengths my clients bring to the process. I approach each client with “unconditional positive regard” and structure each session with the individual’s needs in mind. I believe that by facilitating a nurturing environment with a client centered focus, it enhances the healing process as it relates to trauma, unresolved grief, and abuse that underlies many mental health issues.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, Licensed Addiction Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor. I completed my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Webster University in 2020. I formerly worked as a counselor at an addiction recovery center, where I treated individuals and their families whose lives had been devastated by addiction. In that environment, I was able to hone my skills in trauma informed care and treating co-occurring mental health disorders. I also have experience working with depression, anxiety, OCD, women’s issues and self-esteem issues. I enjoy working with adolescents, and adults of all ages.

Hey y’all I am Stanley Davis, and I’m in the process of earning my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am a South Carolina native and Coastal Carolina University Chanticleer Alum. During my time at Coastal Carolina, I was a student-athlete and a volunteer at Pee Dee Elementary school. After graduating I worked full-time at Seacoast Youth Academy Level III group home for 3 years before joining Horry County Schools special education program for 5 years. I am experienced at working with at risk youth and adults who feel hopeless, neglected, alone, and or lost. It’s my passion and goal to soon work with individuals and groups of people with diverse backgrounds to help them to become the best version of their self via a combination of Existential and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Through Existential therapy I would be able to pay attention to clients cultural, spiritual, social, and political background then consider the physical, emotional climate, and environment around them. Via Cognitive Behavioral therapy it would allow the clients and I a chance to analyze their thinking patterns, emotional reactions, and behaviors through past and current issues.
